Description

This is a helpful tool for creating large wagashi designs, such as grate-cutting chrysanthemums, and is especially essential for modelling work. It's called an "Ichika Wagashi Base" and is designed to be held for extended periods without direct contact with the wagashi. This helps to prevent heat transfer and keeps the dough from dripping or drying out.

The holder has scales on the edge, which include guidelines for dividing into eight, five, and three equal parts. These guides can also be used for dividing into five equal parts for bellflowers and cherry blossoms, and three equal parts make it easy to further divide into six equal parts. The holder includes two round frames of different sizes and two angled fruit stands that match. The bevelled holder has a 30° angle and can be used as an acute-angled round triangle scraper.
